The average sale price for these homes was $773,631.
The average time on the market was 101 days.

Fall has arrived ...

Time passes quickly.  Summer is gone and fall is here.  The crowds of August are back at work in the cities and one sees fewer strangers in all of the local haunts.  The fall migration is underway and the local birders are discussing and debating various unusual sightings.  The wild flowers are gone and the wild grasses have dispersed their seed.  All of the local craftspeople are fully engaged in new construction and lots and lots of remodeling work all through the area.  Here in the Ranch, we have completed our annual road maintenance work as well as all of the mowing along the highway.  Dead trees are being selectively removed from our commons.  Our sheep are hard at work with the rest of the on-going fire prevention activity that we take very seriously.   Modern internet communications have been established here in The Sea Ranch and are also being installed in the area to the north of us.  We are doing what we need to do to protect the community and keep up with the times, but we are not changing the very unique character of our surroundings in the process.  This part of the California coast is beautiful and so is this community.  It is our intent to keep it that way.

Our lives follow similar patterns.  Just as the plants and weather change over time, so do we.  Our needs and desires establish new parameters for our thinking and our preferred life style matures.  Random circumstances play a role as well.  We are part of one of the most mobile societies that the world has ever known.  Where each of us live is determined by an infinite variety of factors that are in constant change.  I, of course, have no way of knowing what you and your loved ones need or want in the way of a place to live, but I do know The Sea Ranch.  My wife and I built our home here many years ago and I have been involved in the community and in the real estate business during the entire time since we first moved here.  There are not very many houses in this community that I have not been in and there are no local businesses in the building trades that I do not know about.  I would like to share my understanding of the community with you so that you can make the correct decision as to whether or not The Sea Ranch is right for you at this point in your life.  If you decide that it is, I would, of course, be delighted to also facilitate the acquisition process for your new home.
